This year I decided to get a little crafty with my gift wrapping. After seeing this very "anthro" inspired wrapping on Pinterest, I decided to give it a shot. All of the supplies can be found at Michaels. All you need is brown wrapping paper, any sort of leaf, square cards (you can also just cut them out at home), ribbon, labels, and a gold Sharpie. From there, you wrap the gift like any other present, just taping the leaf and card at the end. It gives my gifts character and makes them easily identified under the tree. I will definitely be making this my own Christmas tradition.

Turtlenecks
Sweater: Anthropologie Jeans: Madewell (Currently on sale!) Boots: Frye Purse: Zara
My current obsession is turtleneck sweaters! They are perfect for winter. In addition to being extremely cute they also will for sure hold in all of your heat, keeping you warm on even the coldest December days. My Christmas list could pretty much be made entirely of turtlenecks. Some of my favorites are listed below:
Black Floral
Top: Anthropologie (Similar Here) Pants: J.Crew (Similar Here) Boots: J.Crew

Hunter Day
Boots: Hunter Jeans: J.crew (Similar) Sweater: Free People
Comfy sweater + faded jeans + Hunter boots= The perfect rainy day outfit. My favorite item of this outfit is the Free People sweater! It is the perfect oversize and interesting because it has the shoulder cut outs. It comes in 7 different colors and is the best fall sweater.
Style Tip: When wearing an oversized sweater, pair it with skinny jeans tucked into boots so that you aren't swallowed up by your clothes!!

Stripes and Burgundy
Sunnies: Ray-Ban
This past weekend I spent the day in Georgetown with my mom. Unfortunately, we couldn't get in the November mood since it was 80 degrees!! We had a delicious lunch at the Pizzeria Paradiso and tasty treats from Olivia Macaron (and some to-go cupcakes from Baked & Wired). I am obsessed with sweaters right now and this striped one is from Madewell (and is now on sale!). I love it because it has very neutral colors yet is fun because it has fringe at the bottom. I am wearing it with some burgundy jeans also from Madewell. They are the "High rise skinny skinny" and I love them because they are super soft and comfy since they have a higher waist line. And of course, what is a fall outfit without some classic brown booties? J.crew is definitely my go to store for boots! Hopefully it will start to cool off and we can enjoy some real fall weather!

Suede Dress
Dress: South Moon Under Shoes: J.Crew (Similar) Purse: J.Crew (Similar) Necklace: South Moon Under
Watch: Kate Spade
My latest obsession is suede! Whether it's a dress, skirt, or shirt, I want it!! I got this dress from South Moon Under, they have it in 4 different colors. It's the perfect fall texture and can be worn in various ways, my favorite of which is with a chunky sweater! I wore this look for a friend's birthday dinner at Zaytinya in DC. They have the BEST Mediterranean food I have ever had. Definitely try it if you find yourself in DC.

Peplum Swing
Top: South Moon Under Shorts: Madewell Shoes: Birkenstock Watch: Timex Rings: Wanderlust and co.
Necklace: Dogeared
This season I am just loving the flowy peplum tops. We have seen a transition from tighter fitting peplum tops to now looser fitting tops with more of a swing. This one is super comfy and looks great with any bottoms, especially high waisted since it is slightly cropped.
Style Tip: For these few weeks while we are transitioning into fall, pair you favorite summer shorts and skirts with a long sleeved top rather than a tank top. This way you can get the most out of your favorite summer items before its time for jeans and boots!

Out and About
Shoes: Converse Shorts: J.crew Shirt: Madewell (similar) Purse: J.crew (Similar) Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
For running errands, Converse are the best! They are comfy and good for walking yet super stylish. I also think jean shorts and a tank are the perfect throw on for a day on-the-go. I always head to J.crew or Madewell when looking for a perfect tank. And don't forget a Vente Green Tea from Starbucks to keep me going!

Day in Mosaic
Skirt: South Moon Under Top: J.crew (similar) Shoes: Birkenstock Purse: Kate Spade Sunglasses: Ray Ban
Watch: Shinola Rings: Wanderlust + Co Bracelets: Alex and Ani
Today I spent the day with my friend in the Mosaic District, a really cool shopping center close to where I live. We had a delicious lunch at Cava then shopped around a little. We stumbled upon the cutest flower stand, Wildflower, and just had to buy some. The owner put together a beautiful bouquet of orange and yellow flowers (to match my house) and placed them in a blue mason jar. I love how mason jars can be utilized for almost anything. I love being able to throw on a skirt in the summer since it's easy and cute. I paired my outfit with Birkenstocks since I knew I would be walking around a lot and because I love them!
