Fall Break

Top: Madewell      Jeans: Madewell      Shoes: Kate Spade (Similar Here)      Purse: Rebecca Minkoff

This past weekend was my fall break from the University of Richmond. I have been absolutely loving my first semester and as I type this on the train heading back to Richmond I can't wait to get back!
Before I headed home to DC I packed up all my summer clothes and sandals and swapped them out for my sweaters and boots! I am seriously loving all of Madewell's fall clothes. This oversized boyfriend flannel is definitely my favorite item. It is perfectly slouchy and as soft as butter. It even has pockets! The jeans are also Madewell and my new favorite pair. They are so comfortable and the rips hit right in the perfect spots. I am also obsessed with the raw hem lines at the bottom, so fun and edgy. These Kate Spade desert boots are also one of my fall faves. They appear to be sold out on both the Kate Spade and Nordstrom websites but I linked a very similar pair above.
In addition to numerous hours of shopping over break, I made time for some tasty treats. On Monday I enjoyed a delicious LPQ brunch with some of my best friends from home. Of course, I mostly gobbled up all of my moms cooking! What can I say, I missed it!!
If you have any questions about my fall favorites feel free to comment or email me! Thanks!

Red Bandana

Bandana: Madewell      Sunnies: Ray-Ban     Top: Anthropologie

My current fashion obsession is definitely the bandana! They are so cute and add the perfect pop to any outfit. This one is from Madewell and I seriously love every pattern that they sell! I think that the red is fun because it adds color to a simple outfit. I tie mine by wrapping it around my neck and crossing it in the back and finally tying a loose knot in the front. It can also be styled by tying it around your wrist, a belt buckle, or even on your purse! I absolutely love the chic French look they create.

Hello Richmond Shopping

Top: South Moon Under (Similar Here)      Shoes: Steve Madden      Sunnies: Illesteva      Purse: Rebecca Minkoff

Long time no see! I am finally all settled into my new home at The University of Richmond. I will be posting a dorm tour very soon! As for now, I have to share my new favorite shopping center, Short Pump Town Center! I went to check out the shopping scene with my roommate Ella and some of the girls from my floor. I was blown away! The center has every store from Madewell to Nordstrom to South Moon Under. If you are ever in the Richmond area I highly recommend stopping by!! It was so gorgeous from the cobblestone pathways to the large fountains and beautiful flowers (and all the clothes). In addition to shopping there are delicious restaurants (I recommend the Boathouse or for a quicker bite, The Baker's Crust). If you have any questions about places to go, leave a comment or feel free to email! xoxo

Off The Shoulder

Top: Anthropologie      Shoes: Madewell (On sale!)      Sunnies: Illesteva     Necklace: Madewell (Similar)
Watch: Kate Spade

This past weekend I went to one of my favorite shopping centers in my area, The Mosaic District. I went with my good friend Sydney (Prepped In Plaid). Not only does Mosaic have my 3 favorite stores (Madewell, Anthro, and South Moon Under) but it also has some amazing food options! One of my favorite restaurants "True Food Kitchen" (you may remember from this post last year) is here as well as the cutest coffee shop called "Mom & Pop".  I got a delicious coffee with a sandwich stacked high with fresh tomatoes, basil, and turkey. And of course I couldn't go into Madewell without buying something! I got this cute hoodie that is perfect for throwing on at night when it gets chilly.
I am a little late in this trend but I JUST got an off the shoulder top... and I understand the hype! They are  super cute and the epitome of summer tops! I paired this white blouse with my go-to jean shorts. As you can tell from my previous posts, I love pairing white with light denim.
If you have any questions about my outfit or the Mosaic District feel free to comment or email me!

DC Send Off

Top: Anthropologie      Jeans: J.crew (Similar Here)      Shoes: Nordstrom

This past weekend I went to a send off party for my best friend who also happens to be Miss DC Teen USA. Next week she heads off to Vegas for the Miss Teen USA competition and I could not be prouder! Go Dylan!!
The party was at the Peacock Cafe in Georgetown. I opted for a simple black and white (and denim) look. I am wearing my favorite button down by Cloth & Stone (sold at Anthropologie). It is so soft and flowy and can be dressed up or down. I got my Chanel look alike purse years ago from J.crew. I paired the simple outfit with my favorite Hinge wedges. The sole of the shoes are cushioned making them super easy to walk in.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Today I hit up one of the greatest sales of the year... The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!! Or as you've seen on Instagram, the #NSale. I went with my ultimate shopping partner, my mom. We had our prompt 10:30 departure to ensure that we wouldn't miss a thing! I thought I would share some of the items I got this year. I hope you enjoy! xx

Booties: Steve Madden

There's nothing more classic than a Black Chelsea Boot which is why I couldn't pass these beauties up!

Bralette and Undies: Calvin Klein

I am a huge fan of the Calvin Klein bras and underwear. They are seriously SO comfy, whether I am working out in them, sleeping in them, or just lounging in them. I already have the grey and black pair so when I saw this hunter green pair I just HAD to get them.

Desert Booties: Kate Spade

I am so obsessed with these fun Kate Spade booties. They are so different and I can't wait to wear them all Fall. The fringe makes the shoes so fun and unique and they look so cute with a good pair of jeans.

This BB cream isn't special to the Sale or a new product or anything but I thought I would share it because I love it! I use this product everyday. It is so great because it is SPF 35 so it keeps my skin safe from the sun yet it feels super light weight. It also blends easily and is really good at covering up any red spots or blemishes. I would definitely recommend this Bobbi Brown BB cream for anyone that's looking for new face makeup!

3 Inches Later

Sunnies: Ray-Ban      'H' Necklace: South Moon Under      Tank: Free People
Shoes: Steve Madden

There's nothing more refreshing than a hair makeover, which is why I always start my summers by chopping off a few inches of hair! I find that shorter hair is so much easier to style in the summer and it's better with the heat (I'm talking no sweaty hair stuck to the back of my neck). Short hair is also super on trend right now. Each day you see more and more bloggers, models, and girl bosses sporting a short do.
I am wearing my new favorite sunnies which I see as an affordable pair of Dior glasses (a girl can only dream). My tank top is by Free People and I have it in 4 different colors. It is seriously my go to top because it is so versatile. I wear it running errands, with jeans, and even when I work out.

Happy 4th!

Skirt: Free People      Necklaces: South Moon Under & My Limo is Waiting      Watch: Shinola
Bracelets: Madewell & David Yurman      Shoes: J.Crew (similar here)

What's my perfect 4th of July recipe? BBQ + Pool + Stripes + Denim + Sun. Unfortunately my recipe was lacking sun! Here in DC we had quite the rainy holiday. I had an indoor BBQ with my family, full of hot dogs and watermelon. Since the forecast called for night time rain we opted for day time sparklers.
I have been loving all the denim this season. My absolute favorite denim item right now is this Free People skirt. It is so summery and creates the perfect girly boho look. I paired it with this J.Crew staple striped tank because what's more American than some good stripes? I stacked this statement necklace with a super cute and delicate necklace my good friend got me for graduation. It's from an Etsy store,  My Limo is Waiting, and you should definitely check it out!
Happy 4th of July!! xx

Cupcakes and Tassels

Tank: Madewell (on sale!)      Sunnies: Illesteva      Sandals: Steve Madden      Bracelets: Madewell

On one of the days of my internship with Cathy (Poor Little It Girl), we went to one of our favorite spots in the city... Georgetown Cupcake! They are too delicious and so photogenic (I can't help it hehe).
I have been absolutely loving all of the tassels this season (as you can see from my outfit). This Madewell top is so cute and easy to throw on! These tassel sandals and bracelets are too fun and too perfect for summer.

Graduation Brunch

This past week my mom and I threw a brunch party to celebrate my graduation. I invited my closest girlfriends and we had absolutely perfect weather for it! I decided I should give some party tips and inspiration here!!

1. Have TONS  of food!

We ordered 3 different flavors of Duck Donuts (my absolute favorite), vanilla, chocolate, and maple bacon. We also got bagels for those with a salty tooth. Fruit kabobs were a much easier option than a big fruit salad because girls could just grab a stick rather than having to dig through a big bowl of fruit while trying to balance their plate. And finally my mom made her famous cheesy egg casserole! One plain and one with spinach and sun-dried tomatoes.

2. Keep your theme consistent

We went with a green, earthy theme so we made sure this was present throughout all of our decorations, flowers included!

3. Keep your guests refreshed!

We got a Medium Roast "traveller" from Starbucks and everyone loved it! We put out milk and Starbucks provided the sugar and cream. It was a great saturday morning treat. We also had fresh lemonade in the cutest Pottery Barn water dispenser. We had two more outside, one with cucumber water and one with lemon water.

4. Give everyone something to do!

After seeing a lot of my friends have little scrapbooks to sign at their parties, I decided I wanted something like that so I put a spin on it. I got a big piece of wood from Michaels and hung some gold twine and tassels on it. I then got clothes pins and notecards so that my friends could leave notes. The end product was amazing! I got to read all of these funny memories and now I can keep that as a reminder in my room! We also got these huge 2016 balloons which were great for taking pictures with!
