Rain, Rain, Go Away

As mentioned in my last post, the rain has not stopped in the DC area for what feels like forever. And then on Saturday the sun finally came out so I headed to Reston to grab some lunch at my favorite, Bartaco, and did some shopping with one of my best girl friends. The weather only held out long enough for me to eat outside and then more rain came... and I was totally unprepared. However, I still enjoyed my afternoon. At Bartaco I got the Chicken, falafel, and shrimp tacos.  I'm pictured in my favorite Madewell boy shirt and go-to ripped jeans, also from Madewell. One trend that I have been loving this season is the denim on denim look. The tortoise sunnies are by Illesteva. 

Birthday Post

Since it has been raining for 15 days straight in the DC area (yes 15...) I am going to write about something happy, like my birthday last week! I want to share what I did to celebrate and some of the gifts I received. I had dinner with some girlfriends at my favorite spot, The Counter Burger, in Reston Town Center. I opted for a chocolate cupcake from Baked and Wired to blow out my candle. I got two perfect summer sandals. The tasseled pair is Steve Madden and I am so obsessed. The wedges are Hinge and they are so comfortable! The cute tassel bracelets are from Madewell. They definitely spice up my bracelet game and add a perfect pop of color. The jewelry box is from a small boutique in Philly but you can find one similar  here. And finally the blouse I am wearing at dinner is Madewell by Nordstrom. A birthday isn't a birthday without some super cute cards! The middle one was homemade by my brother and the sunglasses one is Paper Rifle co.
