Cupcakes and Tassels

Tank: Madewell (on sale!)      Sunnies: Illesteva      Sandals: Steve Madden      Bracelets: Madewell

On one of the days of my internship with Cathy (Poor Little It Girl), we went to one of our favorite spots in the city... Georgetown Cupcake! They are too delicious and so photogenic (I can't help it hehe).
I have been absolutely loving all of the tassels this season (as you can see from my outfit). This Madewell top is so cute and easy to throw on! These tassel sandals and bracelets are too fun and too perfect for summer.

Graduation Brunch

This past week my mom and I threw a brunch party to celebrate my graduation. I invited my closest girlfriends and we had absolutely perfect weather for it! I decided I should give some party tips and inspiration here!!

1. Have TONS  of food!

We ordered 3 different flavors of Duck Donuts (my absolute favorite), vanilla, chocolate, and maple bacon. We also got bagels for those with a salty tooth. Fruit kabobs were a much easier option than a big fruit salad because girls could just grab a stick rather than having to dig through a big bowl of fruit while trying to balance their plate. And finally my mom made her famous cheesy egg casserole! One plain and one with spinach and sun-dried tomatoes.

2. Keep your theme consistent

We went with a green, earthy theme so we made sure this was present throughout all of our decorations, flowers included!

3. Keep your guests refreshed!

We got a Medium Roast "traveller" from Starbucks and everyone loved it! We put out milk and Starbucks provided the sugar and cream. It was a great saturday morning treat. We also had fresh lemonade in the cutest Pottery Barn water dispenser. We had two more outside, one with cucumber water and one with lemon water.

4. Give everyone something to do!

After seeing a lot of my friends have little scrapbooks to sign at their parties, I decided I wanted something like that so I put a spin on it. I got a big piece of wood from Michaels and hung some gold twine and tassels on it. I then got clothes pins and notecards so that my friends could leave notes. The end product was amazing! I got to read all of these funny memories and now I can keep that as a reminder in my room! We also got these huge 2016 balloons which were great for taking pictures with!

Tourist for the Day

Shirt: Madewell (Similar Style)      Shorts: Madewell      Watch: South Moon Under

I have been a little MIA recently, so here is what you missed! I recently did a 2 week internship with Cathy Anderson of Poor Little It Girl. I learned so much about the blogging industry and what it takes to turn your blog into a business. I also learned the tricks of using a professional camera! On one of the days we were together we decided to be tourists for the day! Of course we had to start our day with some Peet's coffee. Then we headed to the monuments, a must see in DC. I opted for comfort since a lot of walking was involved. I went with converse and a tee (which is unfortunately sold out- I linked a very cute and similar top). Also, for sun protection, I have been loving baseball caps this season. I went with my favorite Richmond hat (go spiders!!). In the last picture you can see me really getting into it (as any intern would) and learning the ways of a camera.
